Kinda crazy when you consider that methane is responsible for 25% of current global warming...
That's what a recent study from Queen Mary University in London claims. The good news is, this suggests that a simple way to decrease climate-damaging emissions fairly quickly is by implementing tracking methods to identify the leaks and make those responsible for them clean them up ASAP.
(It also raises the question: how much damage are we causing to the planet through negligence – and how quickly can we mitigate that damage simply by being more attentive and cleaning up our messes??)
